Thought anyone following the progress might enjoy these two “design features”.

The first is from sock #1—I forgot that 2x2 rib required a multiple of four stitches and cast on 58. As I got to the end of my first round I realized my mistake, but I hate having to re-cast on, so I faked two stitches, which left that weird unattached bit. I’ll seam it up with the cast on tail, no biggie.

The second picture is the heel flap from sock #2. For some reason, when I picked up only 14 stitches on one side and 15 on the other, I must have just been like “oh, oh well”. I faked by doing a k3tog instead of a k2tog on the first decrease row on the side with the correct number of stitches to even everything out.

First pair of socks that will be mine!

Started April 30.
Empecé el 30 de abril.

Cast on 60 stitches. (German Twisted Cast On).
Monté 60 puntos. (En el estilo del German Twisted Cast On)

Did 58 rows of 2x2 ribbing.
Hice 58 filas de cordoncillo 2x2.

Picked up 15 stitches for the heel.
Recogí 15 puntos para el talón.

Decreased down to 64 stitches for foot.
Disminuí hasta que tenía 64 puntos para la pie.

Took out ~10g of yarn from ball and dyed it black (more like a dark purple toned with red and blue, but!)—planning to use that for the toes, and maybe a stripe? Will see once I get further into the foot.¬†

Tom√© 10g de la lana blanca y la te√Ī√≠ de color negro (fue m√°s de una mezcla de morado oscuro con olas azules y rojas, pero…) Planifico usar la lana negra para los dedos, quiz√° una raya tambi√©n.
